VisionAID Hosts International Webinar on Supporting Autistic Individuals During Times of War Vision Agency for International Development (VisionAID دیدگا ئەید) had the honor of organizing and moderating the webinar titled “ Autism in the Time of War: Crisis Update & Practical Strategies for Supporting Autistic Individuals.” The event was held in partnership with the Global Autism Coalition ( GAC) and the Emergency Logistics Team ( ELT) . In times of conflict and instability, autistic individuals and their families often face unique challenges that require thoughtful, inclusive, and practical responses. The webinar created an important platform for sharing knowledge and practical strategies to support autistic individuals during humanitarian crises. Discussions highlighted the humanitarian impact of conflict on autistic communities, crisis management planning, emergency communication strategies, and preparedness for caregivers and professionals. The session also introduced the ALICE methodology in crisis care , followed by an open discussion and exchange of resources among participants. VisionAID extends its sincere appreciation to the distinguished speakers Val Craigie, Julie Casady, Jarrod Scalzo, and Dr. Casey Clay for their valuable and insightful contributions.
