VisionAID CEO Highlights Importance of Language Policy at Erbil International University Dr. Mohammed Mussein Ahmed, CEO of VisionAID, was honored to participate in a panel discussion organized by Erbil International University on the occasion of International Mother Language Day, wearing his traditional Kurdish uniform. He represented his role as Head of the Apparatus of Supervision and Quality Assurance and as CEO of VisionAID. He engaged in a meaningful dialogue on language policy alongside Dr. Kawa Sherwani and Dr. Vian Sulaiman. During the panel, he emphasized the importance of language policy and its legal framework, highlighting its role in cultural preservation, political stability, economic development, and the protection of the traditions and customs of the Kurdistan Region. He also addressed the constitutional foundations regulating language policy in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, including the recognition of official languages and their significance in education, governance, and social cohesion. He expressed his sincere appreciation to Erbil International University and its President, Dr. Kawa Sherwani, for the kind invitation and for hosting such an important and timely discussion.
