
Silvia Marchionne is a practitioner-researcher in international higher education with 15 years of experience in the Middle East and North Africa within international cooperation and development. She holds a Master’s degree in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, a Bachelor’s degree in Languages and Intercultural Communication, and a postgraduate Master’s in International Cooperation and Development. She is currently serves UNIMED as Senior Project Manager, where she joined in 2013, working on international projects, proposal writing, and project management. She has has been also consultant at the World Bank on higher education governance and internationalisation across MENA countries. She is currently a third-year PhD candidate focusing on higher education internationalisation in Tunisia.
