
Biography: Rebaz Najeeb Ramadhan is a Lecturer in Software Engineering at Koya University in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, currently on academic leave while pursuing a PhD in the School of Computing at Newcastle University, United Kingdom. His research focuses on energy systems and smart buildings, with a particular interest in applying data analysis and artificial intelligence techniques to monitor, evaluate, and optimise the performance of low-carbon heating technologies. He received his BSc in Software Engineering from Koya University (2007–2011) and later completed an MSc in Advanced Software Engineering at the University of Leicester (2013–2015). After finishing his postgraduate studies, he joined the academic staff of the Department of Software Engineering at Koya University in 2015, where he has contributed to teaching and research in software engineering and data-driven systems. Throughout his academic career, he has also held several professional and invited positions, including serving as Head of the Information Technology Department at Kalar Private Technical Institute and as a lecturer in Computer Engineering at Komar University of Science and Technology. He is an active member of the Kurdistan Engineers Union. His work includes research publications on web-based systems and data analysis, reflecting his broader interest in intelligent and data-driven technologies.
