Prof. Dr. Ava Omar Fatah was born in Sulaymaniyah in 1983 and is a professor in the Business Management Department at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Sulaimani. She has more than 17 years of teaching and research experience in the fields of business administration, human resource management, and organizational behavior. She previously served for more than five years as Director of Quality Assurance and Curriculum Development at the University of Sulaimani, where she led initiatives to strengthen institutional quality systems, enhance academic standards, and support curriculum development aligned with international practices. She also served as a member of several committees, including the Quality Assurance Higher Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University’s High Committee for the Bologna Process. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior from the University of Sulaimani, as well as a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wales. She has published more than twenty research papers, supervised several postgraduate students, and participated in national and international projects related to quality assurance, curriculum development, and higher education governance.
