
Dr. Nasreen is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the Educational Research Center at the College of Education, University of Duhok. She holds a PhD in International Education (Pedagogy). Alongside her academic responsibilities, she actively contributes to international academic and development projects that support university modernization and capacity building. From 2023 to 2025, she has been a member of the Future Elementary School Teachers Modernization Project (TeachersMod), implemented in collaboration with partners from Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Within this project, she played a leading role in two key action tasks focusing on active learning and women’s studies, coordinating and leading these activities in collaboration with UTAD University (Portugal), the University of Pavia (Italy), and the University of Granada (Spain). Dr. Nasreen is also a dedicated member of the Pedagogy Centre at the College of Basic Education. Previously, she participated in an Erasmus mobility program as a visiting researcher during her PhD studies at the University of Glasgow, where her research focused on the flipped classroom approach. In addition to her teaching and research roles, Dr. Nasreen contributes significantly to academic administration. Her responsibilities include supporting the Deputy of Department, managing academic programs, coordinating faculty activities, ensuring quality assurance, and handling various administrative tasks. She also supports faculty members in teaching and research and oversees student-related activities such as academic advising, monitoring student progress, and addressing student concerns, thereby fostering a supportive and productive learning environment. Furthermore, as the Bologna System Coordinator for the Arabic Department, she oversees the implementation of Bologna Process principles. This role involves aligning curricula with international standards, ensuring degree compatibility and comparability, facilitating student mobility, and maintaining high standards of quality assurance in higher education
