Dr. Marwan Aziz Mohammed is a distinguished academic and engineering leader based in Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He holds an M.Tech in Information Technology from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, India (2011), and a PhD in Wireless Networks and Optimization from Salahaddin University-Erbil (2022). He serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Software and Informatics at the College of Engineering, Salahaddin University-Erbil, where he is a permanent faculty member. Since 2023, he has taken on broader institutional responsibilities at Knowledge University, Erbil, serving concurrently as Acting Dean of the College of Engineering and Director of the Career Development Center. His research interests encompass Artificial Intelligence, Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET), Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) Communications, Cybersecurity, and the Internet of Things (IoT), with notable contributions in vehicular network congestion control, IoT anomaly detection, UAV communications, and deepfake video detection. His scholarly output has accumulated over 250 citations, attracting collaboration with researchers from leading institutions in Spain, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom, reflecting the international standing and impact of his academic work.
