Dr. Diary Ibrahim Tofiq is an Assistant Professor, Teacher, and Researcher at the Chemistry Department, College of Science, University of Sulaimani, with a research background in Bioinorganic Chemistry focusing on the role of metal ions and trace elements and their impact on biological systems, human health, and the environment. She has held several key leadership positions at the university, including Head of the Chemistry Department for six years, Head of Higher Education and Scientific Affairs at the College of Science since May 2019, and Head of the CBRN Committee. Since 2019, she has served as Founder and Director of the Safety Training Center at the University of Sulaimani, and since 2023 as Supervisor of the Chemical Security Unit within the Health and Safety Directorate. She is a Certified Trainer in Chemical Security through ongoing collaboration with Sandia National Laboratories, and serves as a consultant to the Governorate and NGOs in the field of Health and Safety.
